As one of the main supporters of the event, the AHDB will have a strong presence both on its stand (49) and in the Pig Forum.
An impressive line-up of speakers will take part in a series of presentations and panel discussions in the dedicated theatre next to the stand. They’ll address a wide range of topics including market and consumer trends, marketing campaigns, pig health and welfare, the environment, and labour. Come along to hear their perspectives on the topics and to pick their brains.
Angela Christison, AHDB’s Sector Director for Pork, is looking forward to the fair and the opportunities it provides for everyone to get together and share knowledge and views. “We have put together a great set of speakers and panels for the Pig Forum, there’s something for everyone.
“The market for pork remains strong both at home and overseas but, with major shifts in market dynamics and consumer attitudes, we all know how challenging things are. This is a great chance to catch up on all the latest news and to ask the experts questions.”
Visit their stand (49) to meet the pork team, grab a cuppa and find out about the resources and support available to levy payers. Remember, even small-scale keepers pay the levy, so this applies to you too!
The Ladies in Pigs (LIPS) will also be at the fair cooking up some delicious tasters from their mobile kitchen, be sure to stop by!
Don’t forget to register your attendance on PigPro, the pig industry’s online training record, or if you’re not already signed up – you can do that on the AHDB stand as well.
The British Pig & Poultry Fair takes place every two years at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, hosting over 300 exhibitors and attracting around 10,000 visitors. Here is the AHDB speaker programme for the Pig Forum Theatre.
